Yes, the pipes may be exposed to sunlight for a short period of time. Polyethylene is not UV-resistant, so Henco tubes should not be permanently exposed. For specific outdoor applications, Henco can produce unique UV-resistant pipes on request.

The number of motors per zone depends on the thermostat connected to the zone.

  • Analogue = without screen
  • Digital = with display
  • Analogue 24V = 5 motors
  • Analogue 230V = 10 motors
  • Digital 24 V = 5 motors
  • Digital 230V = 5 motors

The control has a number of connection terminals to which motors can be connected:

  • Wired 6-zone = 15 connecting terminals
  • Wired 10-zone = 21 connecting terminals (maximum 18 connected)

Note: Each individual terminal can be connected to multiple motors if a relay is used.

You can connect as many zones (motors) to one thermostat as you want. The only limitation is the number of connection terminals on the control to which motors can be connected:

  • Wireless 1-zone = 1 connecting terminal
  • Wireless 8-zone = 12 connection terminals
  • Radio 12-zone = 18 connecting terminals

Note: Each individual terminal can be connected to multiple motors if a relay is used.

Instead of controlling the system based on the room temperature, the thermostat (CU-REGC-...) can measure the floor temperature via a sensor (UFH-SENS). That sensor is usually placed in the screed, just below the floor finish. At the relevant thermostat, via parameter 040, setting 2 can then be selected so that the underfloor heating is switched on or off based on the floor temperature.

040

External sensor

(CU-REGC-24V/CU-REGC-230V)

Logging in an external room or floor sensor. Registering a room sensor deactivates the internal sensor. When using a floor sensor, the minimum floor temperature can be set via the Settings Menu in the "External floor sensor" function.

0 = no external sensor

1 = room sensor

2 = floor sensor
