Sustainability, also our concern

Henco aims to be carbon neutral by 2050. Therefore, we measure, manage and monitor both our energy consumption and our CO2 emissions and energy and CO2 intensity. Our goal is to reduce our CO2 emissions for the first and second scope by as much as 70% by 2030.

To achieve this, we have set the following sustainability targets:

  • Working from sustainable buildings with new technologies that pollute less
  • Energy-efficient processes and reduced CO2 emissions
  • Less water consumption
  • Generating less waste
  • Less and more efficient use of raw materials
  • Carrying out LCAs and taking steps towards a circular economy
  • Conscious transportation and reduce upstream and downstream transport
  • Strengthen engagement in our supply chain
SCIP HENCO REACH

REACH declaration/ SCIP codes

REACH (Registration Evaluation and Authorization of Chemicals) is a regulation of the European Union, adopted to improve the protection of human health and the environment from the risks that can be posed by chemicals, while enhancing the competitiveness of the EU chemicals industry. It also promotes alternative methods for the hazard assessment of substances in order to reduce the number of tests on animals. For more information about REACH, click here.

Henco & REACH

All Henco articles are 100 % safe for drinking water and heating applications. They have been thoroughly tested and certified by numerous organizations around the world. The European REACH regulation however requires to inform end users if one’s products contain substances of very high concern (SVHC) on the REACH candidate list in a concentration above 0,1% weight by weight.

The two documents below provide you with information on Henco products related to the REACH regulation. In the document with the SCIP numbers we list the products which contain more than 0,1% lead weight by weight. We remain of course available for any further information.

HENCO SDG

17 Sustainable Development Goals

Our sustainability goals also contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals, or SDGs. The SDGs are 17 goals established by the United Nations to address global challenges by 2030. They form a common sustainability agenda with concrete goals, society, economy, environment, human rights and world peace. The different themes are equally valid and at the same time interrelated.
The main principle: 'Leave no one behind'.
