New at Henco: EPDs for all your projects
Sustainability is something we at Henco fully embrace. As a construction partner, we consciously take responsibility for the world of tomorrow. At Henco, sustainability is therefore not a mandatory label, but a deliberate choice we make. And that choice must be shown – not in words, but in deeds.
That is why we are now making official EPDs (Environmental Product Declarations) available for our products.
What exactly are EPDs?
An EPD is a “environmental passport” for a product. It provides a clear, standardized overview of the environmental impact over the entire life cycle of a product: from raw material to recycling. Think of CO₂ emissions, energy and water consumption, raw material use and air and water pollution. All data in our EPDs are based on thorough life‑cycle analyses (LCA) and follow international standards such as EN 15804 and ISO 14025. They are also independently verified, ensuring objectivity and reliability.
In short, transparency, sustainability and efficiency go hand in hand at Henco. And that is good news for everyone working with us.
Why are we doing this?
Transparency as a foundation: We communicate transparently, based on objective and independent data.
Support for tenders and sustainable projects: More and more tenders and projects require EPDs as part of sustainability requirements. By proactively making these documents available, we support installers, wholesalers, architects, engineering firms and project developers.
We give you a competitive advantage and access to certain markets: In an increasingly sustainable construction market, EPDs make a difference. They provide access to specific markets and projects, and offer a measurable advantage over suppliers without this transparency.
We continue to invest in innovation and greening of our entire chain: By mapping our entire chain, we identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
Future‑proof business: The pressure on transparency and sustainability reporting is only increasing. With our EPDs we are prepared for stricter environmental legislation and new reporting requirements.
