Henco intends to be carbon neutral by 2050. This means we will take an active role in monitoring, managing and controlling our energy consumption, CO2 emissions and energy and CO2 intensity. Our ambition is to reduce our first and second scope CO2 emissions by as much as 70% by 2030.

Henco launches EPDs
As a construction partner, we share responsibility for the world of tomorrow. At Henco, we believe that sustainability starts with transparency. That’s why the environmental performance of our products is now available in official Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs).
Such an ‘environmental passport’ provides a clear and standardised overview of a product’s environmental impact throughout its entire life cycle: from raw material to recycling. Think CO₂ emissions, energy and water consumption, and more.
In short, transparency, sustainability and efficiency go hand in hand at Henco. The EPDs are exclusively available via MyHenco, your central hub for technical info and project support.
REACH statement
REACH (Registration Evaluation and Authorization of Chemicals) is a European Union regulation adopted to better protect human health and the environment from the risks that chemicals can pose, while enhancing the competitiveness of the EU chemical industry. It also promotes alternative methods for hazard assessment of substances to reduce animal testing.
Henco & REACH: All Henco products are 100% safe for drinking water and heating applications. They have been thoroughly tested and certified by numerous organisations around the world. Nonetheless, the European REACH regulations require that end users are informed should a product contain substances of very high concern (SVHC) that appear on the REACH candidate list at a concentration above 0.1% by weight.
The two documents below provide more information about Henco products in regard to the REACH regulations. The SCIP numbers document list products containing more than 0.1% lead by weight:
17 Sustainable Development Goals
Our sustainability goals also contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The SDGs are 17 goals established by the United Nations to address global challenges by 2030. They form a common sustainability agenda that has practical goals affecting society, the economy, the environment, human rights and world peace. The different themes have equal value and are mutually interconnected. Key principle: ‘Leave no one behind.’
